Quality Roofing Celebrates OSHA Safe and Sound Week
OSHA’s Safe and Sound Week Scheduled for Aug. 9-15
Each year, more than 5,000 workers are killed on the job. Additionally, more than 3.6 million employees are seriously injured each year while at work. Because of this, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) holds a nationwide event each August called Safe and Sound Week, which promotes the importance of companies incorporating safety and health programs into their workplace. This year, the event runs Aug. 9-15, 2021.
At Quality Roofing, safety is paramount! We value safety for both our employees and our customers. We are industry leaders in safety, as demonstrated by our qualifications:
Pre-Project Planning
Before we can start a project for companies like 3M, Oshkosh Truck, Nestle etc we need to pass an intensive application process that looks at loss history, OSHA history, training programs and more. It’s not enough to give a safety “toolbox talk” or have a groovy safety slogan as many companies do. When you’re working 10 stories up on the UW Madison chemistry building or Marshfield City Hall I would hope the crew has something more than a slogan to keep them safe!
OSHA 10
Our crews are all trained in OSHA 10. This is not an industry requirement but at Quality we feel it provides a well-rounded safety awareness.
EMF Rating
Our EMF has been consistently excellent. The EMF is a calculation of injuries, severity and causes of those injuries compared with number of hours worked.
ABC Step Award
Quality Roofing is a participant in the ABC association’s Step Safety management system. It is a safety and benchmarking tool. The impact of STEP participation is a 680% safer incident rating than the industry average.
NCCCO Certification
Crane training in excess of OSHA standards to ensure our job sites, operators, and crew are as safe as possible
Quality Roofing’s teams train in excess of OSHA standards and in excess of customer requirements because they truly value their employees and customers.
“When we are hoisting a load of construction materials on your project, we want the peace of mind knowing that the operator has formal training & certification,” said Mark and Pat Begotka, owners. “Safety is important. We want everyone to be able to go home to their families at the end of the day.”
